Christopher Pratt's life has been the primary source of inspiration for his work. From a very early age, he was interested in making images; more importantly, he was aware that "pictures" could communicate ideas and emotions. He noticed the details in the world around him, and he noticed that those details could create a response. Throughout his life he has kept, sometimes only in his memory, those details that were most important about the places he went and the things he experienced.

The biography section will give you some insight into where and how Pratt grew up, his formal training, and the course of his career to date. To see how events shaped or influenced Pratt's work, you will want to look at the timeline. home
